KAHLA Kreativ Exhibition 2016 in Porzellanikon Selb

KAHLA-Kreativ Exhibition at Porzellanikon, Selb

Porcelain clay is made of only three components – kaolin, quartz and feldspar.

Still, it can be transformed into many new and unique objects as demonstrated by the 12 participants of the 6th international KAHLA-Kreativ workshop, hosted by the Günther Raithel Foundation. Under the motto WANDELLUST – a word play in German – “Wandel” (change/transformation) and “Wanderlust” (the desire to travel) – the designers and artists created crocheted porcelain nets, swan wings turned into bowls and cups learned to walk.

From April 16 to May 22, 2016, the works are on view at the Porzellanikon in Hohenberg a. d. Eger/Selb.

The not-for-profit Günther Raithel foundation was founded in 2010 and is dedicated to the promotion of training, culture, science and research about porcelain and related materials. The focus of the foundation is the promotion of young talents.
