Imke Freiberg, KAHLA-Kreativ 2015

Imke Freiberg

(born 1974 in Greifswald, Germany) is a free-lance artist and arts administrator. She studied Ceramics at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design, Halle. Since 2007, she has been involved in the Forum for Contemporary Ceramics and is a member of the BBK Brandenburg and Endmoräne e.V. Künstlerinnen in Berlin und Brandenburg, an association for female artists. She has received a number of scholarships, including artist residencies at Atelierhaus Salzamt, Linz and at Künstlergut Prösitz and was awarded the Perron Art Prize of the town of Frankenthal. In the wall design competition for Kranbau Köthen, her submission won First Place and was subsequently realised. She lives and works in Fürstenwalde.
